This Border Leicester Wool is spun at Blue Mountain Farm & Fiber Mill with only Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised eldest sheep — Sarah, Abraham & Lily.

I've dyed these skeins with colors from our natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property. “Stormy Lilac” is made from Hopi Black Dye Sunflower seeds harvested from flowers I grew last summer.

The grey-lavender color reminds me of the April rain clouds with a hint of purple reminiscent of the first lilacs of spring. Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color throughout a skein.

Everything from Crown Hill Farm are Heirloom varieties and Heritage breeds, sustainably and mindfully grown with respect to land, plants, animals and soil.
