This Border Leicester Wool is spun at Blue Mountain Farm & Fiber Mill with a mix of Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised sheep — Sarah, Abraham, Lily, Ruth & Isaac and some dark Border Leicester fleece gifted to me.

This 3-ply is twisted from 2-ply white and 1-ply dark wool. I've dyed these skeins with colors from our natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property.

Ocean Jewel was made with Indigo leaves we grew here in our gardens. We got two different shades of indigo based on different methods of indigo dye. This one turned more aqua blue with hints of the green and reminds me of the beautiful shades of teal I saw in the ocean when I lived in Hawaii.

Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color throughout each skein.

Everything from Crown Hill Farm are Heirloom varieties and Heritage breeds, sustainably and mindfully grown with respect to land, plants, animals and soil.
