This Border Leicester Wool is spun at a regional mill with only Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised youngest ewe sheep — Esther & Miriam. The weight of this yarn is perfect for weavers as well as to create finer lacey pieces and shows a hint of texture in it’s spin.
I've dyed these skeins with colors from my natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property. “Warm Green” is made by over-dying my unique blend of marigolds and onion skins with a quick dip in indigo.
In just the right light, the golden undertone shines through this lustrous yarn that otherwise shows a warm dark green color. It simply shimmers in the light. Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color within and between skeins.
