more details

Each week, I’ll send you a little love from the farm—your friendly pickup reminder, the latest farm happenings, and my favorite recipes to make the most of your fresh eggs and seasonal produce.

Think of it as a weekly dose of inspiration, straight from my fields to your kitchen!

What the heck is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is more than just a farm share—it’s a relationship between you, your food, and your farmer. By joining the Crown Hill Farm CSA, you help support a small, sustainable farm while securing the freshest, most flavorful food for yourself.

Your upfront investment at the start of the season allows me to purchase seeds, soil amendments, and supplies to grow nourishing food for our community. In return, you receive a regular share of the harvest—the very best of what’s in season—while sharing in both the risks (like unpredictable weather) and the rewards (like bumper crops!).

CSA is an invitation to eat with the seasons, connect with the land, and be part of something bigger—where every bite tells the story of mindful, regenerative farming.

When & Where you go:

Pickups are bi-weekly on Saturday mornings from 9 AM - 12 PM, starting in early June through the first week of November. That’s 11 pickups over 22 weeks!

This is a big change for 2025! You’ll pick up your CSA share at HerKitchen on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo.

How it works:

I’ll be there in person at every pickup! One of my missions with Crown Hill Farm is to foster deeper connections—to food, farmers, and each other. Instead of just grabbing your share and going, we’ll have the chance to chat, answer questions, and share in the joy of fresh, seasonal eating. I’ll also bring extra produce for sale, so if you or a friend want more, you’ll have the chance to grab it. I’m really excited about this change from past years, and I can’t wait to see you!

What’s Included:

Every pickup, you’ll receive 6-10 freshly harvested items, including award-winning heirloom vegetables, fruits, and culinary herbs. I grow unique, flavorful varieties chosen for their seasonality, deep-rooted histories, and regional significance. Everything is picked at peak ripeness, lightly washed, and lovingly packed just for you.

some CSA Perks:

Each week, you’ll get a love note from the farm—an email with your friendly pickup reminder, farm updates, my favorite recipes, and tips on how to store and use your produce. You’ll also get first access to farm-to-table dinners and special farm events!

Beyond vegetable shares:

Beyond farm-fresh produce, I offer soy-free chicken or duck eggs, Eden Valley Creamery cheeses, and Art’s Cafe sourdough loaves—each as its own share. It’s a mix-and-match, choose-your-own-adventure CSA—some members just get eggs and cheese, while others get everything! I carefully select food makers who share my values and prioritize local, seasonal, and high-quality ingredients—the same standards I choose for my own meals. Nothing but the best local food!

Chicken Eggs

My eggs are SOY-FREE from heritage hens mindfully raised on pasture. When you open your egg carton, you’ll see a rainbow array of pastel colored eggs from whites and blues to dark browns and pinks that come from my large variety of heritage breeds. I also use my own mix of herbs and essential oils to maintain health.

Each week you’ll get a 1 dozen.

Duck Eggs

My duck eggs are also SOY-FREE and mindfully raised on pasture. Duck eggs are a delicious, richer alternative to chicken eggs and can be used the same way. Many people with chicken egg allergies can enjoy duck eggs without issue. They’re especially great for baking, homemade pasta, custards, sauces, and mayo.

Each week you’ll get a 1/2 dozen.

Cheeses

I’m thrilled to welcome back Eden Valley Creamery with their USDA Organic, artisanal cheeses! Some of their cows even live across the street from Crown Hill, making this extra special. Their certified organic cattle graze on WNY pastures all summer, and their milk travels less than a mile to the creamery for hand-crafted cheese.

Each week you’ll get a 1/2lb cheese

Breads

I’m excited to offer bread from Art’s Cafe in Springville as a CSA option! This co-op-style bakery is dedicated to community, sustainability, and the arts. Their real, slow-fermented bread takes three days to develop incredible flavor and digestibility, using high-quality local ingredients like Farmer Ground Flour so that each loaf has perfect flavor.

Each week you’ll get 1 loaf
