This Border Leicester Wool is spun at a regional mill with only Crown Hill Farm’s fibers from our mindfully-raised youngest ewe sheep — Esther & Miriam. The weight of this yarn is perfect for weavers as well as to create finer lacey pieces and shows a hint of texture in it’s spin.
I've dyed these skeins with colors from my natural dye gardens and foraged on Crown Hill Farm property. “Golden Saffron” is made from my unique blend of marigolds and onion skins.
This deep golden-hued color brings the warmth of late summer sunshine on cool wintery days. Subtle variations from light to deep gold add depth and character, perfect for creating radiant, one-of-a-kind projects. Due to the nature of natural dye, there may be slight variations in color within and between skeins.
