Before we say goodbye to the leaves and flowers and green, we reap the massive abundance of the harvest. What better way to celebrate than with Chef Red Beard’s fresh approach to local seasonal ingredients.
We’ll start in the gardens…
Be greeted to Crown Hill Farm by Missy Singer DuMars with a tour of the farm and see what is in season in the gardens. Learn about how the market gardens are tended with no-till/low-till practices to preserve soil and support delicious, nutrient-rich foods.
Discover the unique vegetable varieties we grow - chosen for flavor, color, joy & regional adaptability. Hear a bit of the rich history of Crown Hill Farm, from its farmhouse to its multiple owners— as varied as what the gardens now grow!

After enjoying the garden tour, visiting the animals and relaxing with our beautiful views, sit down and prepare for your senses to be delighted by delicious foods.
Relax amongst the orchards and grounds surrounded by the sounds of farm life (our chickens, ducks, geese and sheep.)
Chef Red Beard give us his fresh approach to the season, bringing his ingredients-forward approach to flavor. His passion for highlighting local foods is experienced through exquisite focus on the flavors of each component of a dish.
Chef Red Beard brings us a straightforward, elevated rustic approach featuring Crown Hill Farm vegetables, eggs and edible delights along with meats, dairy and treats from nearby farm friends.

Take in the beauty of the farm-life atmosphere amongst a community of food lovers as Missy & Chef Red Beard share about each course in addition to the regional wine pairings chosen for the evening’s meal by Chateau Niagara Winery.

About Chef Red Beard: Jeremy VanAntwerp, aka Chef Red Beard, is a Private Chef and entrepreneur with a Kitchen Studio located in Buffalo. Red Beard is a self-taught chef with no formal culinary training who is creatively driven and loves to explore flavor and technique. After a decade of working in professional kitchens throughout Western New York, Chef Red Beard decided to carve his own path and dive into the world of private dining. He opened The Kitchen Studio in the historic Market Arcade building in downtown Buffalo and uses it for private dinner parties, pop ups, catering, and meal prep services.
Jeremy now specializes in highly curated dinner parties with a blank slate approach to creating personalized menus for guests. Every dinner is made with high quality ingredients procured exclusively from local purveyors, farmers and producers. His approach to cooking is hyper ingredient focused, specializing in bringing out natural flavors and colors with rustic scratch cooking techniques.
